Goals/purpose:
The purpose of Link Crew is to help freshmen students transition smoothly from Junior High to High school.  This is done through monthly classroom visits and activities throughout the year. 

Student qualifications:
Students must maintain a 2.0 average and not carry a grade lower than a C.  Students must be valuable role models and represent Garces with the utmost respect on and off of campus.  Students must be enthusiastic as being a peer to Freshmen students.

Activities:
Link Crew is responsible for “Freshmen orientation” at the beginning of the school year.  Students participate in a fun filled day with dancing, chants, and a rally.  The theme is different for each month that we go into the classrooms.  September “transitioning to high school”, October “mistreatment”; November “time management”; December “Christmas bingo”; January “making positive choices”; February “relationships”; March :stereotypes”; and April “college ask and tell with senior leaders”.
