The Catholic nature of Garces memorial provides the framework for all that the school offers. Centered in gospel values and nurtured by a dedicated faculty, staff, and supportive parents, the school's experiences are designed to lead students to serve God and the greater community. The uniquely Christian focus provides an environment where students can develop spiritually, intellectually, culturally, physically and socially, enabling them to recognize their potential as People of God.
Garces Memorial offers a curriculum that prepares students for higher education. Driven by a committed instructional staff, the course of study is designed to provided students with the knowledge and skills to form critical judgements resulting in informed actions. This intellectual process, within a spiritual framework, enables students to become responsible citizens.
The school offers a variety of extra-curricular activities. Involvement in these activities affords students the opportunity to participate more actively in the life of the school and to develop leadership potential and a sense of responsibility. These extra-curricular activities, along with a forty-hour community service requirement, guide the student to a greater sense of self-esteem.
Students united with parents, staff, faculty, alumni and supporters create the Garces community. This greater community involvement assists Garces Memorial in providing the best Catholic college preparatory environment available in Kern County.
