Homecoming Week
Boys Tennis
This Thursday 10/8/15 at lunch (11:30-11:50) there will be an important meeting for anyone that's interested in coming out for the Boys Tennis Team this Spring in Room 4. Please contact Coach Jacobs with questions. 
Softball players must have physicals and athletic clearance packets completed and turned in prior to participating in fall workouts.  Athletic clearance packets are available online under athletics and must be completed on iPad using notability app and emailed to Mrs. Finch. 
Service Hours
Volunteers are needed for the following events!
Sunday, October 11th- Fiesta at the Italian Heritage Dante Association  
Thursday, October 15th- Stockdale Elementary School Carnival
Saturday, October 17th- NAMI 5K
Saturday, November 7th- The Harvest of Hope event will be held  at the Kern County Fair grounds benefiting Catholic Charities of Bakersfield. The Bishop will be attending the event and 20 Garces volunteer are needed!

Congratulations to Drew Rogers
Congratulations to Garces senior Drew Rogers.  Drew has verbally accepted an offer from Auburn University to join their nationally ranked Equestrian team!  She will sign her Letter of Intent at our National Signing Day Ceremony on Thursday, November 12th in the Gym during lunch.  
Congratulations to Meg Blaine!

Sophomore Meg Blaine, competed in the Kern County Fair this year in the Junior Division Horse Show.  She won High Point (1st Place) in the Western Classes for 14 & Over.  She also took 1st Place in the Open Junior Stakes Show.  She has been competing in the Fair Horse Division since the 3rd Grade.

Bakersfield Jockey Club Honorees
Congratulations to our Garces Rams who were honored for being outstanding student athletes by the Bakersfield Jockey Club at a special luncheon on Monday, September 28th. Honorees were Hannah Merjil (volleyball), Carter Kerwin (boys water polo) and Caroline Kerwin (girls water polo).  
Ag Club Shines at Open House
Congratulations to the members of the Garces Ag Club.  They won the contest for having the best club display at the Garces Open House!
