Football

Varsity

Team Record: 11-2 (Division II Valley Runner Up and SEYL Champions)

2011 All-Area Selections
First Team Offense

Philip Anspach QB
Anspach finished with 1,541 yards, 17 touchdowns and 8 interceptions and was the offensive MVP for a Rams team that scored more than 35 points a game and racked up 4,000 yards of offense.

Keoni Taylor OL
A terrific run and pass blocker, Taylor helped plow the way for nearly 4,500 yards of offense. His senior season likely will include courtship from several Division I college programs.

First Team Defense

Joey Stuart DB
Four interceptions and multiple pass deflections only tell part of the story for the anchor of the Rams' pass defense: Stuart usually drew the assignment of the opposition's top receiver, and he responded. Case in point: The Division II section quarterfinals, when Redwood's Ervin Yancy, who had 238 yards the week before, was held to 10 in a big Garces victory.

Cruise Adams P
Adams has a good leg -- his long punt of the year 58 yards -- but most of the time, he was too busy pinning opponents inside their own 20-yard line to worry about distance. Thirteen of his 28 punts died inside the 20.
